Two cousins, Gianna and Lorenzo, are left in the care of their great uncle, Brother Antonio, a Franciscan friar living in Assisi, for the day while their parents visit a winery. Neither cousin wants to be with the other, and the day threatens to turn into a fiasco until Brother Antonio comes up with a game for them to play: They will discover the places where St. Francis lived and worked.

Good Children's Book about Assisi and St. Francis

I donated these books to our Religious Education department and I hope that they are shared by the teachers with their classes. I have never been to Assisi but it was a simple and realistic walk through the area where St. Francis lived and walked.

The title if fine--gives the reader an idea of what he/she will read.

Especially after reading Fr. Bodo's book, ENTER ASSISI (several years ago), this children's book is perfect for me. I was recollecting passages from the first books as I read the second.
