"Advent is not about a sentimental waiting for the Baby Jesus," Richard Rohr asserts. Advent is a time to focus our expectations and anticipation on “the adult Christ, the Cosmic Christ,” who challenges us to empty ourselves, to lose ourselves, to surrender. Richard Rohr’s Scriptural reflections for Advent are the perfect preparation for the Christmas season. This beautiful redesign provides daily reflections for the Advent season, along with each day's Scripture readings and questions for reflection. The audio edition of this book can be downloaded via Audible. Preparing for Christmas: Daily Meditations for Advent

I will read it during Advent and let you know.

Preparing for Christmas: Daily Meditations for Advent

It gave a grace of discipline to making my way through the season. I was thankful for it.

Really enjoyed the book.

I've used this book for a few years and shared it with many friends. It is the best approach to prepare to mindfully celebrate a season who's meaning can be easily swept away by busyness. I so enjoy the directness of Rhor's writing; the individual readings are short and simple but provoke deep thought throughout the day. Highly recommend!

Preparing for Christmas:Daily Meditations

I, as always enjoyed the daily meditations. i did feel, however, they tended to be negative, which puzzled me a bit.
