A wonderfully refreshing book of short essays which allowed me to pick it up for a quick read that Imparted a lesson I could carry with me for the day. But more often than not a single essay was never enough -- I always wanted to read another and another. I read this book through twice and then passed it around to my family. It is chock full of spiritual lessons, life lessons, humility, humanity and humor. Do yourself a favor and read it.

Heather King is the author of the memoirs Parched; Redeemed; Shirt of Flame;  Poor Baby; and Stripped: Cancer, Culture and the Cloud of Unknowing. She lives in Los Angeles, speaks nationwide, contributes regularly to Magnificat, and blogs at Heather King: Mystery, Smarts, Laughs.
