The Ten Commandments, writes Mary Elizabeth Sperry, remain important because they teach us habits that we need to develop to live life in right relationship with God, self, others, and things: creating priorities, seeking intimacy, spending time, giving respect, recognizing dignity, maintaining integrity, living gratitude, upholding honesty, promising fidelity, and bestowing generosity. When our relationships are healthy and ordered appropriately, our lives are in balance. We know a joy that goes beyond momentary, fleeting pleasure. We are surrounded by love. We live our call to holiness. The audio edition of this book can be downloaded via Audible. Stock #: B36408

Ten: How the Commandments Can Change Your Life

In the spiritual process of life many of us may lay a weak foundation. How and when does one strengthen that necessary element in our lives. It seems three documents will go a long way to complete that task. I have selected The Ten Commandments (OT), The Lord's Prayer (NT) and the Apostle's Creed (Tradition). If one knows, understands, believes and acts upon the teachings in those three documents one is a long way ahead in service to God and fellow man. For example, in applying those foundational documents to the illegal border crossings one gains considerable clarity. Love, hank

Ten: How the Commandments...

My apologies. I buy books far faster than I can read them. I haven't started it yet.

How the Ten Commandments can change your Life

I have only just begun to read and take notes on this book. It's beautiful and inspiring. I will use this wisdom in teaching my 4th grade religious education class. This book gives me great hope for a wonderful and faith filled year with the students. MCM
