Care for Creation: A Franciscan Spirituality of the Earth

published by Franciscan Media | Trade Paperback | 236 pages
$ 19.99
Three of the greatest minds in Franciscan theology, Ilia Delio, O.S.F., Franciscan Keith Douglass Warner, O.F.M., and Pamela Wood, come together to discuss one of the greatest crises of our time—the destruction of the Earth. This book takes both a theological and practical approach to developing a Franciscan spirituality of the earth. Four sections highlight the distinct relationships creation has with the world: incarnation, community, contemplation and conversion. In this meticulously researched book, the authors propose ways in which we can all understand our own roles in relationship to the Earth and ways in which we can make it better.Stock #: B16838

Care For Creation

This is a wonderful book that inspires, challenges, guides and teaches any seeking to understand and respond to the urgent need to care for creation. The three authors bring a powerful complimentary set of perspectives and gifts focusing on spirituality, environmental studies and experiential formation practices and processes that guide the way to whole new ways of thinking understanding and living to reverence, care for and love creation and the incarnation of God's love for us all.

Care for Creation, a Guide for My Spirituality

I actually sent this book to my dear friend whose sister died unexpectedly. My friend loves her garden and bee hives;in addition, she is such a good Catholic and extremely spiritual individual. I know she will love this book!

Timely

With the earth at a tipping point, this book is timely. St. Francis' spirituality has much to offer as a way of caring for the planet and the environment. When we look at all creation as related, as he did, it becomes impossible to do more harm to the home God has given us.
