I wear him every day.

No that is not a typo. I were a blue band on my arm that says “PRAY HOPE AND DON’T WORRY”. This book’s additions me more information about the Saint that I didn’t know and I was amazed. I have read so many books, seen so many videos, and was in Rome in 2016 to see him. But I am not going to tell the reader what I learned. They need to find out themselves and be amazed.

Portrait of a Sainthood Hard Earned: Saint Padre Pio
By Fran Pelham PH .D, OSF
Book Review January,2020
This holy, Capuchin monk humbly endured attacks from local clerics and the Vatican on his authenticity. The wounds of Christ, which he bore from a young age were not recognized as real in his lifetime. He was demeaned and doubted, as Christ Himself was.
Saint Padre Pio: Man of Hope by Renzo Allegri is a narrative that acknowledges that Padre Pio shines brightly as an example of how we humans in this modern century continue to long for union with God. This book is a work of great beauty in historical fact and in its message of relevance through the ages. Padre Pio was gifted with healing, understanding the soul in confession, and gladly bearing the sacred wounds of Jesus.
Reading the multiple documented miracles and testimonies, the reader comes to appreciate this spectacularly humble priest. There is added testimony of his fellow friars who testify to his genuine holiness - - a testimony as great as his miracles. But the “apple of his eye,” as St. Padre Pio called it, was a hospital in Italy he founded called the House for Relief of suffering, a hospital for the poor and those who had no insurance. (p199).
This book brings the man alive and portrays his genuine holiness. He is a saint we can all pray to on a daily basis.
