This is very well written with expert analysis of the sacraments.
My students respond to the presentations.

Toward Understanding the Mystery

Michael Himes, to me, does the best job of moving me toward a deeper understanding of the mystery of God. He addresses all the traditional theological categories (grace, salvation, sin, incarnation, etc.), but unifies them all under the "umbrella" of Love and Trinity. He writes (and speaks!) in plain language that clearly takes me deeper into the mystery.

REV. MICHAEL HIMES holds a doctorate in theology from the University of Chicago. He has taught at the Seminary of the Immaculate Conception (Huntington, New York) and the University of Notre Dame. Currently he is on the faculty of Boston College.
