Wondrous Encounters: Scripture for Lent

published by Franciscan Media | Trade Paperback | 144 pages
$ 12.99
Rohr's meditations on the daily readings of Lent are not for the sake of mere information, or even for academia (although the author hopes it will satisfy both), but for the sake of our transformation into our original "image and likeness," which is the very image of God. What always and finally matters for all of us is encounter!  Father Rohr begins each meditation with a single title or phrase that sums up the point. Then he offers the meditation followed by key passages from the readings. He ends each meditation with a Starter Prayer that invites you to self-disclosure and to enter the wondrous divine dialogue with clarity, insight—and holy desire!   Stock #: B16987

Truly a great title because the daily encounters were terrific.

Very inspirational for me during Lent. I hope there will be a book for Advent.
I was definitely very pleased with Wondrous Encounters.: Scripture for Lent. Gave me so much to meditate on. Thanks for offering it.

Zoom Encounters

Six of us diid a weekly zoom using the book as our focus. Since we are all Rohr fans, it was a good fit. We have one more session to wrap up this coming Monday. Just enough reading each week to go along with whatever else we were each doing. I especially liked the “from the reading quotes and started prayer. One for Advent would be welcome.
Peace, Maureen Gray
