Great family stories

Wonderfully written, short essays with great messages for finding extraordinary moments in what seem like ordinary daily events. We have enjoyed reading these stories as a family with our 17 and 15 year old children. Highly recommend!

Brian Doyle was the editor of Portland Magazine at the University of Portland, in Oregon, and the author of many books, among them the novels Mink River, The Plover, Martin Marten, and Chicago. Among
his other books are the story collection Bin Laden’s Bald Spot, the nonfiction books The Grail and The Wet Engine, and many books of essays and poems.
