Padre Pio: A Personal Portrait

published by Franciscan Media | Trade Paperback | 176 pages
“He who believes in miracles has already obtained one.”

A faith so powerful that he bore the stigmata. Prayer so intense that he appeared to believers all over the world. Padre Pio is one of the most intriguing and otherworldly saints of the twentieth century, but this biography has been out of print in English for more than forty years—until now.

Padre Pio, written just a few years after his death, brings the saint’s words and works to a new audience eager to learn of his mysticism and miracles. Item# B53136

Excellent

Very interesting to read about St. Pio. I realize how clueless I was at the time of his canonization. Of course wasn’t dither along in my faith journey either. He is definitely a Saint to call on!

Fr. Francesco Napolitano knew and worked with Padre Pio, and so provides an intimate look at one of the most beloved of Capuchin saints. This book was written just five years after the saint’s death, published in Italian in 1978, and now brought back into print forty years later.
