Saint of the Day is, for anyone interested in the famous men and women of the Catholic Church and, indeed, for persons, no matter what their faith, who care about the past, an indispensable volume which ought to be in every library. It is close to being a perfect addition to any period of devotion, the only thing “wrong” with it being the fact that there are some days during the year not covered. Still, I find myself reading each day’s entry where a saint’s biography is included “religiously” — no pun intended — and I would assume others will as well.
