This book did not disappoint the promise of it’s title. I appreciate the openness and insights reach by the author. I recommend this for anyone who is looking for a fresh look at Psalms.

Nicely written and easy to read. I enjoyed the way the Psalms were integrated into the writers life. The book also allowed me to see how the Psalms can speak to events or situations in my life as well.

My son borrowed the book and I have not read it yet.

What Was Lost: Seeking Refuge in the Psalms

This book's title could not be more fitting for the words placed upon it's pages. For those who know real loss, real pain, and loneliness, read this book.
Get lost in another's pain and see, hear, and feel the refuge of the Psalms that comforted Maureen. Thank you, Maureen, for your brevity in being honest in your pain.

I pray with Psalms everyday. I have not finished the book yet, but have really enjoyed it so far. I’m visiting Sante Fe, Nee Mexico and visited a mission church she mentioned in the book. — brought part of the book to real life.
